To date, there are 80 homes completed throughout The Resort—homes ranging from an 800 square foot cottage on Stone Creek to an over 7,000 square foot home in our newest area of Greenfields West--with more custom homes breaking ground regularly! People choose to live in the state of Tennessee and The Resort because there is no state income tax in Tennessee and the cost of living in Tennessee, in general, is much lower when compared to other states. Additionally, the taxes in Sequatchie County, where The Resort is located, are very favorable. As a matter of fact, most people kind of chuckle when we tell them that they will pay approximately $2,000 a year in property taxes on a $400,000 assessed property/home! They usually say, “You would be shocked if you knew what kind of taxes we pay annually, your taxes are nothing compared to ours.” Tennessee and The Resort also have four distinct and moderate seasons that are appealing too! The Resort offers city water, underground utilities, high speed internet and all the other comforts our owners require. Within the 3,500 acre gated community there are many miles of trails for hiking, biking, walking, golf carting and horseback riding. There are two lakes and two ponds stocked for fishing along with 11 nature parks and The Lodge on Lake George, the heart of our community, for our owners, their families, friends, children and grandchildren to visit, explore and enjoy!
