These beautiful mountain streams are surrounded by mountain laurel, large old-growth hemlock trees and deep woods. Wild orchids, known as Lady Slippers, are also found along the creeks. They seem to be more prominent around hemlock glades. The big hemlock in the photo is on the north bank of Johnson Mill Creek. |
