| In 1997 we erected a covered bridge where Woods Road crosses Long Fork Creek. Being near the center of the property it soon became a focal point and landmark. The concept and design originated from the pictures given to me by a dear friend who passed away in 1996. Sue Maggert loved the covered bridges in Vermont therefore Sue’s Bridge was built in her memory. The 72 foot span features wooden rails and open sides so that residents of The Woods can enjoy the soothing rush of Long Fork Creek as it emerges from the shadows of the nearby laurel thicket. | |
